Ven\u00eda con un diagn\u00f3stico reciente de <strong data-start=\"449\" data-end=\"481\">fractura diafisaria de tibia<\/strong>, producto de un traumatismo directo durante un partido. El dolor era intenso, apenas pod\u00eda apoyar el pie, y la zona estaba notablemente inflamada y deformada.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"642\" data-end=\"957\">Este tipo de lesiones generan muchas dudas, temores y ansiedad. \u00bfCu\u00e1nto tiempo voy a estar sin caminar? \u00bfVoy a volver a jugar? \u00bfQu\u00e9 ejercicios puedo hacer mientras estoy inmovilizado? En este art\u00edculo quiero contarte c\u00f3mo trabajamos juntos su proceso de recuperaci\u00f3n, desde la fase aguda hasta su vuelta al deporte.<\/p><hr class=\"\" data-start=\"959\" data-end=\"962\" \/><h2 class=\"\" data-start=\"964\" data-end=\"1024\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 implica una fractura de tibia y c\u00f3mo se diagnostica?<\/h2><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1026\" data-end=\"1331\">La <strong data-start=\"1029\" data-end=\"1038\">tibia<\/strong> es el hueso m\u00e1s grande de la pierna, y cumple un rol fundamental en la carga del peso corporal. Cuando se produce una fractura diafisaria \u2014es decir, en la parte media del hueso\u2014 como en este caso, el tratamiento suele requerir <strong data-start=\"1266\" data-end=\"1293\">inmovilizaci\u00f3n estricta<\/strong> para favorecer la consolidaci\u00f3n \u00f3sea.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1333\" data-end=\"1613\">En la evaluaci\u00f3n inicial, adem\u00e1s del dolor y la imposibilidad de carga, encontramos sensibilidad marcada en el punto de fractura y una movilidad muy reducida. La <strong data-start=\"1495\" data-end=\"1551\">radiograf\u00eda confirm\u00f3 una fractura sin desplazamiento<\/strong>, lo cual fue una buena noticia: no era necesaria una cirug\u00eda.<\/p><hr class=\"\" data-start=\"1615\" data-end=\"1618\" \/><h2 class=\"\" data-start=\"1620\" data-end=\"1662\">Etapas del tratamiento y rehabilitaci\u00f3n<\/h2><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1664\" data-end=\"1848\">Dividimos el proceso de recuperaci\u00f3n en cuatro fases. Cada una tuvo objetivos espec\u00edficos, y fuimos avanzando seg\u00fan los tiempos biol\u00f3gicos de consolidaci\u00f3n \u00f3sea y adaptaci\u00f3n funcional.<\/p><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1850\" data-end=\"1911\">Fase aguda: control del dolor y protecci\u00f3n de la fractura<\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1913\" data-end=\"2018\">Durante las primeras semanas, el foco estuvo puesto en proteger la zona afectada y evitar complicaciones.<\/p><ul data-start=\"2020\" data-end=\"2304\"><li class=\"\" data-start=\"2020\" data-end=\"2092\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2022\" data-end=\"2092\"><strong data-start=\"2022\" data-end=\"2049\">Inmovilizaci\u00f3n con yeso<\/strong>, manteniendo la pierna en posici\u00f3n neutra.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"2093\" data-end=\"2160\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2095\" data-end=\"2160\"><strong data-start=\"2095\" data-end=\"2122\">Analgesia farmacol\u00f3gica<\/strong>, indicada por el m\u00e9dico traumat\u00f3logo.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"2161\" data-end=\"2248\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2163\" data-end=\"2248\"><strong data-start=\"2163\" data-end=\"2188\">Crioterapia frecuente<\/strong>, especialmente en los primeros d\u00edas, para reducir el edema.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"2249\" data-end=\"2304\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2251\" data-end=\"2304\">Elevaci\u00f3n de la pierna para controlar la inflamaci\u00f3n.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2306\" data-end=\"2415\">Adem\u00e1s, realizamos educaci\u00f3n postural para evitar sobrecargas en la zona lumbar y en la pierna contralateral.<\/p><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"2417\" data-end=\"2469\">Fase subaguda: movilidad y prevenci\u00f3n de atrofia<\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2471\" data-end=\"2587\">Una vez iniciado el proceso de consolidaci\u00f3n \u00f3sea, pasamos a trabajar de forma m\u00e1s activa, aunque sin carga de peso.<\/p><ul data-start=\"2589\" data-end=\"2889\"><li class=\"\" data-start=\"2589\" data-end=\"2701\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2591\" data-end=\"2701\"><strong data-start=\"2591\" data-end=\"2625\">Ejercicios de movilidad pasiva<\/strong> en la articulaci\u00f3n del tobillo y cadera para mantener rangos de movimiento.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"2702\" data-end=\"2806\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2704\" data-end=\"2806\"><strong data-start=\"2704\" data-end=\"2736\">Electroestimulaci\u00f3n muscular<\/strong>, sobre todo en cu\u00e1driceps y gl\u00fateos, para preservar la masa muscular.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"2807\" data-end=\"2889\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2809\" data-end=\"2889\">Trabajo de movilidad en miembros superiores, tronco y extremidades no afectadas.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2891\" data-end=\"3035\">Esta fase suele ser desafiante porque el paciente a\u00fan no ve grandes avances, pero es esencial para evitar rigideces y mantener al cuerpo activo.<\/p><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"3037\" data-end=\"3092\">Fase de fortalecimiento: reintroducci\u00f3n de la carga<\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3094\" data-end=\"3205\">Una vez retirada la inmovilizaci\u00f3n y con evidencia radiol\u00f3gica de consolidaci\u00f3n, empezamos la carga progresiva:<\/p><ul data-start=\"3207\" data-end=\"3557\"><li class=\"\" data-start=\"3207\" data-end=\"3287\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3209\" data-end=\"3287\"><strong data-start=\"3209\" data-end=\"3238\">Apoyo parcial con muletas<\/strong>, primero en piscina y luego en superficie firme.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"3288\" data-end=\"3441\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3290\" data-end=\"3441\"><strong data-start=\"3290\" data-end=\"3320\">Fortalecimiento espec\u00edfico<\/strong> de miembros inferiores, con ejercicios como elevaciones de pierna, sentadillas asistidas y trabajo con bandas el\u00e1sticas.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"3442\" data-end=\"3557\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3444\" data-end=\"3557\"><strong data-start=\"3444\" data-end=\"3488\">Ejercicios de equilibrio y propiocepci\u00f3n<\/strong>, fundamentales para restablecer la confianza en la pierna lesionada.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3559\" data-end=\"3636\">El trabajo fue gradual y controlado, con evaluaciones funcionales frecuentes.<\/p><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"3638\" data-end=\"3705\">Fase de reintegro funcional: volver al deporte de manera segura<\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3707\" data-end=\"3781\">La \u00faltima etapa apunt\u00f3 al retorno deportivo y a prevenir futuras lesiones:<\/p><ul data-start=\"3783\" data-end=\"4107\"><li class=\"\" data-start=\"3783\" data-end=\"3879\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3785\" data-end=\"3879\"><strong data-start=\"3785\" data-end=\"3813\">Reeducaci\u00f3n de la marcha<\/strong>, primero en superficies estables y luego en terrenos irregulares.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"3880\" data-end=\"4006\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"3882\" data-end=\"4006\"><strong data-start=\"3882\" data-end=\"3921\">Entrenamiento de impacto progresivo<\/strong>, con ejercicios de saltos, cambios de direcci\u00f3n y desplazamientos t\u00edpicos del rugby.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"4007\" data-end=\"4107\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"4009\" data-end=\"4107\">Educaci\u00f3n en <strong data-start=\"4022\" data-end=\"4059\">control de carga de entrenamiento<\/strong> y en estrategias de recuperaci\u00f3n post-esfuerzo.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"\" data-start=\"4109\" data-end=\"4242\">Despu\u00e9s de seis meses, el paciente volvi\u00f3 a entrenar con normalidad, sin dolor y con mejor rendimiento f\u00edsico que antes de la lesi\u00f3n.<\/p><hr class=\"\" data-start=\"4244\" data-end=\"4247\" \/><h2 class=\"\" data-start=\"4249\" data-end=\"4284\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 aprendimos de este proceso?<\/h2><p class=\"\" data-start=\"4286\" data-end=\"4558\">A lo largo de la recuperaci\u00f3n, el compromiso del paciente fue clave. Tambi\u00e9n aprendimos que una <strong data-start=\"4382\" data-end=\"4420\">fractura no es el final del camino<\/strong>, sino una oportunidad para mejorar aspectos f\u00edsicos que a veces se descuidan, como el control postural, el equilibrio y la fuerza global.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"4560\" data-end=\"4758\">Otro punto importante fue la comunicaci\u00f3n entre el equipo de salud, el entrenador y el propio paciente. Cuando todos reman para el mismo lado, los resultados llegan m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido y de forma m\u00e1s segura.<\/p><p data-start=\"4560\" data-end=\"4758\"><strong>Profesor Sebasti\u00e1n Pablo
